Ok, after about a year of pitching my book and screwing around w/ publishers, I've decided that I am going to eBook my book and sell it online instead of get it published and put in stores. I've had it done for a year, and I'm sick of negotiating and being dicked around by unreliable people. This week I'm finishing up an awesome power metal band (sounds like dragon force) from Indiana. We've been pulling like 12 hour days for the last week. Once I get them out of the studio next week, I am going to have my manuscript edited, a cover drawn up, and release this bitch. You guys are going to love it. I've gotten tremendous feedback from those who I've shared it with. I will post a lot more details soon. The book also comes w/ like a 40 minute motivational seminar covering many topics. I think I will even put together an IG group discount buy. ;D Are you guys interested in helping me title it??? I've got some ideas but I am trying to get feedback!

Is the book motivational, or about guitar? That would help, for starters.

ONly 1 chapter is motivational.
It is tenatively called "The Ultimate Guide to Becoming a Guitar Virtuoso" and contains everything, and I mean EVERYTHING you could ever need to know about mastering guitar. It has a lot of philosopical stuff as well as technical. It is NOT a licks book but everything else, and by that I mean the real important stuff that everyone needs and should know about guitar. I cover a wide range of topics, which I will disclose at a later time.

That name will probably work just fine, Joel. It sounds a bit like a Stetina title, though, so... hmm. Up to you.

Joel,
I've kicked back into doing the "Guitar Gods" interview series (for those who don;t know, Joel was among the first to be interviewed in a list of now over 40 awesome players, from unknowns to Grammy Award winners) and product reviews. They are initially published at Tinfoil Music and then often picked up by other media outlets (MusicDish, for example).
I'd be happy to read it and review it, and then send the review out to the other major sites.

Just put a picture of Big Ron's flexing arm on the cover. that's an alternative to using Chuck Norris' arm, because then people would be too afraid to open the book in the first place.

Cool, it seems like years since joel first announced his book, ill definatly buy a copy. I think a cool title would be "The ultimate guide to weilding a guitar and administering ownage" or "The ultimate guide to smiting peons with your axe"
