Indeed. I think IG has to make some sort of a forum project now, like record a badass thrash metal song by only using combinations of 12h15 and 15p12. I mean if we make the underlying riff (on E) like
15-12---15-12--12-12-
and then just use 15p12 on e and B, we could actually make it sound creative.

Actually, on the last DS record, we did a joke song like that called "we came to rock." All solos were limited to 3 strings and pretty much combinations of 15p12. I only cheated 1 time where I descended down an extra string or 2. Honestly, it was one of the most fun things I've done in a long time. Lewie and I sat down and charted out like every possible combination and then divvied up who got what lick.

I will flex at Medvedev and repel his nuke by causing it to explode in mid air. Then I will say Tbl CYKA!! And then: (excuse my lack of cryillic alphabet on this computer) vprincipya ya tepa krutoy naturri pizdun sooka. ;D However, on a side note, the Spetsnaz are badass. I was thinking of studing Russian Systema actually. There is this badass Russian dude in Milwaukee that teaches it.

Honestly, Joel, while some Systema guys are badass, it's got a bad rap among people that study martial arts with a scientific outlook. Systema is not actually used as much by the Russian special forces as the Systema guys would have you believe. Have you heard any of their "healing punches" BS? It's almost hilarious.

Well I saw a vid of men being trained for the spetznaz or alpha team or some shit like that. dont know if it was propagandish or real. Basically all of recruits were in the line, holding chairs on 90° bent arms. For a long time, maybe 15-30 minutes idk. And then the officer saw that one's hands were starting to shake and he put a glass almost full with water on top of the chair. When the water spilled 2 guys came and beat the shit out of the recruit. Then put him back up and gave him the chair again. So idk maybe the spetznaz training isnt really that healthy but the dudes that come from it are badass indeed Joel: hehe, but then medvedev would cry and run to his daddy putin. THEN, you know you are in deep trouble

That's pretty badass training, Torkin, but I'm pretty sure that's totally different from most Systema. Also, the Russian army, as I'm sure you know, is completely fucked up.

I hear this "my martial art is better than yours!" bullshit WAY WAY too much. it all depends on how you train and who trains you. that said, boxing / muay thai / bjj (if grappling's more your thing) generally are the best of the bunch in terms of quality of training.

Yes. There are bullshit martial arts, and then there are martial arts that train "live." The bullshit martial arts just do dead forms all day, like the guitarists that only train exercises, and only fast, without a metronome. The "live" martial arts actually train with heavy bags and contact and resistance, which is like using a metronome, then taking the shit you know and using it over a backing track. Trust me, I've done both a bit of jiujitsu and a whole lot of shitty karate. Any of the JJ guys could take 90% of the japanophile karate guys.

dude dont forget that karate is a martial ART, that is, focused on kinda discipline with all these katas and balance exercises. I did JJ and it felt much more like preparation for a fight. But I think its not right comparing sports like taekwondo and karate and the discipline side of JJ together.. kinda like comparing football to basketball and volleyball
but in terms of preparation, muy thai (or however you write it) is probably the hardest and with most effect. Just look at some videos of guys kneeing a bag of sand for 15 mins non-stop.
