yeah if i ever got it i'd plug holes from the fixed bridge and slap a floyd original on it. i found a new favorite guitar to play - my pastor's old sk00l Charvel. he's had the thing since the 80's and it plays like a dream. only bad thing is that wiring needs looked at - it has an awful buzz in it (i don't know if it has to do with the active pickups or what) If it has active EMGs the shielding in em could be the prob. You can try to take the pup out and there you will see a wire going from the pup to the body. The contact might need to be resoldered. If it has passive EMGs then the soldering on the backside of the trem could be cold. These things are easy to fix and its not worth to take it to a tech if u can fix it urself

they're active, but i don't know if they're actually EMGs - they have jackson logos on them. i might take a look at it if i can get him to trust me with his baby around a soldering gun :S

Honestly, Im not really an acoustic guy but.... The best sounding guitar Ive played was a buddy of mine's grandfather's early 70s Alverez yhari elect/acoustic. Maple neck, mahogony top and spruce back n sides. VERY rich sounding. I have yet to find another. Saddens me.
