I don't really know anything about pickups. I'll be checking in on this thread a LOT.
My RG has Ibanez's Infinity pickups on it (stock). To my ears, they sound great, but that could just be because I'm so used to single coils.

I dunno about the WCR Iron Man, sounds almost like the Bareknuckle Warpig in its description...ah well. If it's anywhere close to the Warpig it'll be an amazing pickup.

I've never heard Iron Man but WCR build quality is probably the best I've ever seen. Very clear sounding pickups, very rich tone and great harmonics. That being said, I'm not into high output pickups becaus I can use tons of gain and volume on my amp anyway but from the pickup I want to hear that sweet wood tone and shit.

...from the pickup I want to hear that sweet wood tone and shit. Strange... I don't like it when my pickups sound like shit ;D Awesome thread btw. I was looking for some alternatives to the big name pickups. I don't know why, but I prefer unknown stuff to time tested companies. I'd sooner have a weird/unique sound. For example, I'd never play a Fender or Gibson. I'd never play Marshall amps. I'd never play Martin or Taylor acoustics... Not because I think they're bad, but because everyone plays 'em. Gimme something made in some guys basement that no one has ever heard of!

You have to play them different than the other bozos. There's nothing exotic/unusual about my Epiphone LP Standard so I have to seek alternative ways to get my sound that's where the advanced techniques come in (sweep tap and such) But on the other hand I totally support your opinion on buying stuff from small, old and experienced companies who put effort in making their product and give you your money's worth.

I find, also, that smaller companies are more likely to make a quality product, because if they don't, they're toast.
