It's more like "communists are dumbasses" than anything else. Also, weren't you the one harping on flat EQ for distorted guitars, Joel? Looks like you're scooping the mids now, too.

Also, weren't you the one harping on flat EQ for distorted guitars, Joel? Looks like you're scooping the mids now, too. When you down tune it slides to high end of the guitar to the upper mid area. So on an amp you can cut out that boxy 400-600hz crap by scooping it and using a multiband comp on the low mids for some control. Where as when you play in standard, like my band used to for 7 years, you need lots of mids or else you have high end 4-6k fizz. I like scooping a 5150, but on a mesa dual rec, I tend to turn the mids up and the highs down because of the fizz. However I love recording w a lot of mids but cutting them in mix. A lot of guitarsts are sloppy on the rhythm and the mids allow you to hear what they are doing. p.s. on an unrealated topic, go see rambo

Huh?!?!!!!!!
New DS line-up: Jordan Lee - Vocals Lewie - Guitars, back vocals Joel - Guitars Brent - drowned in the mix The doctor - Drums
What happended ? Lewie can't handle vocals parts while playing? pitch issues? or just to play some tight overkill shredding all the time ?;p

Lewie can't handle vocals parts while playing? pitch issues? or just to play some tight overkill shredding all the time ?;p We added a new singer to the line up. I met a guy a few weeks ago that had one hell of a voice. Blew us all away when we heard him. When we shopped out the last record, we got the same feedback from pretty much everyone: the singer is good, but if you want to go national, you need a vocalist with "the voice." So it was a no brainer. Lewie was always great at signing and playing at the same time. Now he will be doing back up and rockin' guitar more w/ me. Jordan will be the front man now. I'd like to national We have adjusted our format and are nearly done writing a new record and will be in the studio soon.
