ahaha! pick wars!!!!! Paul Gilbert super chunky for the win! Never used a Paul Gilbert. For my style, the Jazz 3 is perfect. Perfect width, perfect thickness, and it's got a nice sharp point to it. It's also a bit of a double-edged sword: if you make a mistake with a regular pick, you can probably breaze right through it without even noticing. With a Jazz 3, you KNOW about that mistake! So it sort of forces you to be as accurate as possible, because it goes where you put it. Also, once you get used to the feel of it, it gives an immediate speed boost, maybe about ten BPM. I'm hooked for life.

'p.s if this doesnt make sense ill post a quick vid of DEMONstration.' Makes total sense Dr. Matt. 'just a series of mental "pitches" to help maintain the downbeat.' But this don't, Jazziii. I have no idea what this would mean. Everything else I get. I do need a metronome that's not on the PC. I'll check out the Metrotuner. I practice/play/mostly goof off 95% of the time without booting the PC,although I should for recording my musings and the metronome. It's just a hassle because it's in the living room and no one wants to hear my ****shit. So a stand- alone metronome would be cool. And so would a loop recorder and a new amp and some new pick-ups, maybe another quitar to leave in drop B so I don't have to hurl cursings at F. Rose... You think the PODXT would've came with a metronome button . It's ok if you tell me there is one, in fact PLEASE tell me there is one, I just don't know where it is. There is a tempo feature to time effects but I don't know about a click. It would be good since I use the headphones quite a bit when practicing. Thanks again. you have to download Line 6 Monkey from Line 6's website after you register your PODxt, and then download a program called Gearbox (it's their computer interfacing software that you use to do editing on your patches). Gearbox has a metronome that will play through the POD when you have it connected to the computer and everything is working right. There should be info on all that shiz in the owners manual. I'd know cuz that's what i use when i practice.
