I don't know how you define "fairly", but If you are a newcomer to shred (or no shredder at all) then Children of Bodom - Silent night, Bodom night could be very fun and developing song that was my first really fast song. Although it really depends on what you are into, you can try to check Yngwie Malmsteens compostitions, they are full of exercises. Check Black Star and Trilogy suite for example. If you find something there (and you will most likely) that looks simply inhuman to you, then bookmark that and check back in 3-4 months (it is surprising sometimes how much of a progress you can do during just a couple of months). If you are a "very" beginner you can try some riffs and licks from Master of Puppets (like 1st guitar solo and that lick before it), they are developing but don't get stuck there. Listen to lots of new bands and players, perhaps you will find something that will capture your mind, and study that. I found that I would like to play classical music when I heard a guy pulling some Bach on electric
