This is a weird question but I just wanted to know for sure...Ill try to explain the best I can.
If I always have my tone knob turned up and I never turn it down for anything can I just cut it out of the wiring cicuit and leave just the volume knob....
So my question is, if I cut out the tone knob would that be the equivalent of having my tone knob turned up?

i've never messed with wiring or anything to that extent, but just from the fact that a lot of guitars from the 80's (especially the old Jackson soloists and charvel superstrats) didn't even have a tone control, and the Floyd Rose guitars don't have tone controls. I've almost thought of taking the tone out of my jackson.

i think so., i am not sure though. The tone control is made of a knob and a chunk of metal made to provide resistance to the current. If you have tone knob all the way up, it means that there is minimum resistance to the current, if you have it down it means maximum resistance from the chunk. Dont take my word for that PS my main axe has only a volume knob, no tone control.

cool....thats what I figured. I actually wired it without a tone control and seems to sound as if their is no resistance.

yeah, i have no tone neither. doesnt cut the circuit, as its parallel wiring.
so you can just remove it ;p
