ESP now has 8 strings! espguitars.com/espguitars.com/guitars_stef.htmlBadass news for me.... if I can get enough money Hopefully the price doesn't jump like the Ibanez did. They have standard and extended scale with 'F#' as 'standard'. I'd maybe tune it up to 'A' though. Stupid pickup arrangement on the extended ones, though.

yeah i saw this too. I wonder if a 8 string sweep is possible without making my wrist hurt.

yeah i saw this too. I wonder if a 8 string sweep is possible without making my wrist hurt. Very doable... bit of a jump from a 6 string though, try a 7 first. Also... you tend to lose a bit of definition on the low strings... Ah well, it's just good to be able to say you've done 8 string sweeps (I am looking, along with a few others, of having a new production 8 string done by Agile guitars... possibly even a V \m/)

I saw once a 7str V, and I didnt like it much. It looses its thinness and fineness imo. I very much like LP and strat shaped 8s and 7s though
