you know torkin, i was expecting schwein to be the first to offer that answer What the hell man! I'm not the only sick-stalking-perverts roaming these boards.. ;D And to SHRED FAN: Few manage to pull off elbow picking correct (fast and clean) without getting a tennis elbow. A tennis elbow means that you CANNOT use your arm AT ALL until it heals and it can take months up to years to heal. During that time you can't play guitar at all. So we say: Fuck elbow picking. But it's ok for the elbow to waggle a bit when your picking but just be sure to change your technique if your elbow often burns up/gets tense.

I just watched your video Joel and your motion is all wrist, no forearm movement. How did you train your arm to do that? Get my book? And if you already have it, get it again! ;D lol I had to say it.... When you practice, be mindful of your body position. You need to be relaxed. I rest my forearm on the body of the guitar and then my hand on the bridge. There are 2 points of contact. When you practice, focus on what you arm is doing. If you play fast and it moves, but play slow and it stays.... then something is breaking down at high speeds. Spend a long time playing really slow with perfect technique to engrain that stuff into your subconscious. See if that works for you. Good luck!
