Can anyone do this? I don't understand how Dave Mustaine or James Hetfield can thrash and sing simultaneously let alone while head banging. If anyone knows any way to practice that sort of thing, I'd kiss you if you tell me.

just practice the riffs a billion times, get to really feel the beat. practice the singin' part while air guitarin'
it will come one day.

I can do it with most stuff.
You have to really know the riff, so it's second nature, then practice it slowly while singing/saying the words along with it, figuring out where each word falls in relation to the riff. It should eventually interlock and feel like one part. Practice it as though it is one part(like two hands on the piano), if that makes any sense.

I can manage to do this with easier riffs that have same rythm as the vocal line but my voice sucks badly.
