And once the drummer leaves, the vocalist also soon leaves/looses interest... once again, been the downfall of two bands that I have been in lol.
Therefore we can conclude that music should be instrumental with programed drums \m/

Drummers arent even real musicians if you met the guy that's leaving our band, you'd think differently

I had a drummer that was so dedicated that if we practiced 4 songs w/o him getting "tired" we would buy him a 12 pack. Sad eh.
The fun of having a band in Iowa.

<rant> so it happened again. another drummer bailed D:< it got to the point where every practice was starting late and he never wanted to stay longer to make up for the lost time. last thursday we confronted him about it and he went into "sales dude" mode and shovelin a bunch of BS at us. sunday rolls along, and seeing as how starting with this weekend we're about to get busy with a bunch of shows (not touring, just so happens that this area is actually alive from august to october) we start trying to work out a new set list with new material incorporated. when asked what he thought, he went into another thing that ended with his bogus reason for pulling out of WC (in short he used some things we'd said to make it sound like we were selfish jerks and he didn't want anything to do with us) and what does he do? AFTER TELLING US WE ARE SELFISH, HE HAS THE NERVE TO STICK US AND LEAVE US HANGING THE NEXT TWO WEEKS, all of this happening before we're SUPPOSED TO HIT THE STUDIO IN SEPTEMBER!!!1!!OMGH4X!!1!WTF!!!BBQ!!!1!eleven!!!! </rant> thankfully, our old drummer (michael) is going to fill-in this weekend and as far as I'm aware, we're trying out a new guy tonight who I know for a fact is a killer drummer and when we presented him with the idea, he was super-stoked about it, and he's not the kind of guy that would leave anybody hanging. he goes to school during the day, weekends are open, and works for his mom so he can pretty much jam whenever. I sure hope this one works out...slim pickins around here so, that re-awakens the age-old question: WTF is the deal with drummers?!?!
