What the fuck.
So I played a Jackson or two yesterday, and I also played the Gears of War signature.
Results?
Gears of War absolutely fucking pwns the DK2-area Jacksons. The neck is an awesome thin round shape thing. But the Jacksons...
I didn't remember the necks being so flat and weird. I fucking hate sharp shoulders on guitar necks, which is why, even though I sold my Alexi, I've liked the necks of most LTDs I've played so far. Nice and round.
This basically leaves me with no brand to cling to except either ESP or possibly a Schecter or two, because I hate the living shit out of most Deans.

*is glad he took his V with him* feeling a bit schadenfreude-y or you could talk to Jim and have him build exactly what you want.

Dude you have come to hate every single guitar you have played. How about you learn to play piano? Or bass? Or with your balls?

My current plan is to get a decent ESP standard Horizon. The narrower neck width is win, as is the thin U neck shape. And I still don't hate my first LTD, it's just got a warped neck from surviving a flood.

Yes they do. Only problem is that they're not being made in flat black with a trem right now, which would be optimal. And that trans red finish is horrible.

It's a little confusing when eric logs on with my account, but here's my two cents: You will never get a guitar you like, so get a guitar you hate. Buy a Danelectro or something.
