Hey, Sorry I'm a Novice to Amps and whatnot. I ended up coming across a peavey cs200x power amp and BBE 462 Maximizer. I'm just curious If I could hook these 2 units up with my Line 6 Flextone II HD Amp Head.
I'm just looking to get more volume and better tone out of it because It's running into a Mesa Rectifier cabinet and the head is way out cab'd And I would rather not go out and buy a $1800 amp for it.. I would like to experiment with different things.

don't take my word for it, but you can MAYBE use the line/record out jack to run it into the poweramp. the BBE would probably go between the two, but don't take my word for it again. probably the best thing you can do is GET RID OF THE LINE 6. its what I did, and the only thing they have that i might get is a toneport for compy recording.
check out the Bugera 6262. It's what I have - it's wired just like a 5150, and you throw that BBE into the effects loop, OMGHAX!!1!. The best thing is the head is 120W and falls between 500-600. You could probably sell the flextone head and the power amp and not have much more left to buy the Bugera.

Maybe you can use the line out or recording output of the head to connect it into the power amp?
That is, if you connect the BBE into the fx loop of the line 6, and then plug line 6 preamp output into the power amp?
Or plug the output of the line 6 into the power amp, but keep the volume level of the line 6 low.
But then again, why would you do that. Flextones are not good sounding amps. If you want a good preamp to use with the power amp you could buy engl e530 pre amp. I have heard a lot of good things about it, and it is "rather" cheap.

you could sell the BBE and Flextone. Get the e530 and enter rack world. Your tone would crush with the e530. Its a pretty flexible pre amp too. good cleans, rock tones, and metal tones.

IMO..... Line 6 stuff is not total garbage. If ya run a decent rack into it and from there into a marginal quality 412.....it should in theory should sound good and be loud.
WTF do they do to those amps to make the volume knob so evil?
