A more detailed explanation of the sound itself and the model of your esp would help...

yeah i'd suggest raising the bottom (low-string) end of the bridge in slight increments until the noise disappears - regardless of whether it's fixed or floyd or whatever, with the right tool (flathead screwdriver for fixed, proper size [MAYBE 4mm...not totally sure] allen wrench for floyd, or one of those tiny allen wrenches if it's the strat-style bridge saddles) it's pretty easy. just keep raising the action until the ting goes away. if the action gets too ridiculously high, I'd suggest sending it back if it's new...I had an ESP (one of the LTD FX-260s) that, by time i got the fretbuzz to go away, the nut was so high that the strings were WAY too high to shred any (even penta-wanking was difficult) - the only thing the high action helped with was the harmonic squeals, then again it was high enough to use as a lap steel so yeah, try to tweak it, and if it sucks when the problem is solved, send it back or trade it or whatever.

Sounds alot like slipping at the nut. A groove in the fret will do that too.

GOOD LORD WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SAYING I CANNOT UNDERSTAND IT He's saying his geetar is an ESP M-200UC model, and it has a floyd and 24 frets. It never used to do what it's doing now (making the "ting" sound on the A and D strings at the 3rd fret) and he doesn't understand why it would because he takes good care of it. help any?
