caparison = dr00l
I'm looking for a second guitar now...well, really a first guitar so the one i use now can be relegated to second guitar as a backup. Considering a PRS Tremonti SE, or an Ibanez of some sort. Anybody play their new singlecuts yet? i'm sure they're awesome but wanna make sure before i make any definite decisions.
other than that, GASing for a pedalboard (still), a noise gate/suppressor/something to make buzz-ov-death from my guitar go away, delay pedal. still trying to narrow it down to specifics though.

I just got a pre-Fender Charvel San Dimas Model A. Thinnest neck I've ever decapitated folks with.
Now I just need to find an amp that I can actually GAS for.

We had our gains up to 10 and still didn't have what a 5150 gives you at 3. and if you want it even better, get a BBE sonic maximizer =D

I prefer double over triple rectifiers, but then I couldn't dial in a good lead tone to save my life... but mesa uses shit tubes and bias them way too cold. it's the same with the 5150 really... JCM800 aren't expensive and sounds good, but you need an overdrive or EQ to push the front-end for metal tones.

Im not a big fan of Mesas either. All of the ones I've heard sound really thin. 5150s are cool. But im glad I stumbled onto the Engl 530 cheap and the tone rips

I once played a double rec at another band's rehearsal room. DAMN, the lead sound was sooo awesome, I regret having not written down the settings. I probably have never heard a lead sound i have liked that much, and it didn't even have a ts there

Nah, I'm pretty sure my San Dimas is a Ft. Worth or something like that. Licensed Floyd, not original, and it's got this weird little thing with the neck where it's tilted to the side slightly, just enough that I am quite capable of pulling the high E string off the fretboard if I PO too hard. Doesn't help that I went down from 10s to 9s, either…
