Who else dig that kinda stuff?? I can't play it to save my life, but I love to see guys like Michael Romeo, Kristian Niemann (used to play in therion) do it.
I "wrote" (or borrow, dont remember) one diminished 4 NPS run a while ago... it's pretty neat but I need to get it FAST

I love tapping and play that kind of stuff quite a bit. It was Michael Romeo's run in Sea of Lies that got me into it!

Hey Stef! Try this on for size! Any transfer from a thin to a thicker string is done with a 'hammer - on from nowhere'. I couldn't get power tab to display that the way I wanted it to.

Try that one, it's kinda cheezy but whatever..!! you just pick the very first note, after it's all legato. Six stringers you can either skip the first 4 notes or play them on the low E string (0-2-3-5 or 0-2-3-t5)

I really like this tapping arpeggio thing by Romeo www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZF5ra8N1ndw I can only play it at about 120 and even then I can't do it w/o occasional string ringing non sense, its a bitch!

I am a malmsteen man myself but romeo is really good. I really got into YJM after getting to watch to his orchestra dvd... That is some quality MUSIC there (even though the statement "YJM writes good music" is a paradox). Sorry for offtopicness

I like Romeo's band better, but I like Malmsteen as a guitarist better, that's my pointless opinion =)

Nah this thread is about TAPPING Dmitry !!!!!! TBH I haven't seen YJM tap much.... (I might be wrong, that could be a great surprise) yups hes all about alt picking. He uses legato once in a while, sweep once in a song and taps once in a year. Sorry again its that time of the year when my yjm appreciation kicks in

There's a cool tapping bit in one of the "Now Your Ships Are Burned" solos. Troy Grady did a whole masterclass on that solo.
Yngwie use legato and sweep picking quite frequently. Yeah, he doesn't do those big six string arpeggios a la Jason Becker, but it's in there.
