I'm wondering if I can re-amp using just a guitar pedal (tuning pedal) that has two outputs. One goes to my amp and the other into the DI on my MBox so I can record simultaneously. I am too broke to get a DI Box and was wondering if the pedal thing would work. Is the sound coming out of the pedal true direct sound?

I'd say give it a shot... it's prolly not gonna be true bypass tho (unless it's a $$$ tuner)

The only true bypass is a cable with no resistance...which doesnt exsist. Any circuit will induce noise and resistance, but a well designed circuit with high tolerance components (and lacking unneeded bs loops and shitty grounds) would do the job. Sadly this shit costs more than it should. You GASsers already have a heads up on this....weve all acquired equipment that was IMO horseshit I say try it. Worst that could happen is youll have a lil extra noise, but nothing any BBE box cant handle. Good luck bro.
