Me?? Everything inspires me. I am strange... sounds - water running, clocks, wind, birds.... visual - blinking lights, falling leaves.... So mark me up fer anything but Steve Vai.... Hahahaha had to put that in there! Steve vai is better than wind and running water put together! Queen marie has been banished from my heart.

Billy Gibbons made me to pick up the guitar and rock. Eddie Van Halen made me to think outside of the box
then there's more bazillion guitar players (all old-school as I don't care about new players) from who I have picked up some licks'n'shit.
Now I don't really care about guitarists nor do I listen to them much, I take ideas from bassists, horns players, world music instrument players etc.
My biggest overall inspirations are
Miles Davis Peter Gabriel Frank Zappa
and perhaps Claud Debussy.
Also the things I experience in my life inspire me

I wasn't inspired by any Guitar Gods when I first started. I'd just listen to Guns N Roses and think to myself 'You know, guitar is pretty damned cool.' But there was never any true desire to play, let alone dominate, as Joel might say.
But a friend of mine had a guitar (Ibanez!) and when I first saw/heard him play, it was like "HOLY HELL!" It was the first time I'd ever even seen a guitar in real life. He knew a lot of songs, too, which made it that much more palpable. I was so awestruck by my first experience with a live guitar, I thought to myself 'I wonder if I could do that?' Got me a cheap little Yamaha out a Fingerhut catalog (seriously), and that was that.
Looking back, my friend wasn't actually that good at the time -- just a bunch of punk rock and Manson tunes...but still. He's the reason I started playing.
These days, now that I know a thing or three about real guitar playing, I have some definite favorites: Freidman and Becker -- does that really need an explenation of "why"? Paganini and the usual classical maestros -- again, no explenation necessary. And of course Vai and Satch. The latest band to put some fire into my playing is Trivium. People talk a lot of trash about them, but they play some damn good guitar, in my opinion.
I also like to pick up random techniques from various guitar players who I think have mastered a given ability more than anyone else I've heard. An example is when I got tired of my lame vibrato technique and started branching out my CD collection with blues artists like Clapton and B.B. King, and copied their vibrato style. Learned to let actual notes be there before speed, ya know? I still play fast, but I've learned to let some air get in.
In general, the guitar itself + life itself is my biggest inspiration. It's the perfect translational vehicle for thought and emotion. If I'm in a good mood, I can pick up my guitar and rip something amazing in one take. On a bad day, the guitar lets me work out my frustrations in a healthy, productive way, and when that spectacular two-and-a-half bend peaks just right, it changes a sour day into the best moment of my life. Who could ask for more?

Honestly, it kind of went like this for me.
Cradle of Filth Randy Rhodes Yngwie Michael Romeo Paul Gilbert Shawn Lane
In that order, if it weren't for Yngwie I never would have started shredd'n though. Paul Gilbert remains my favorite.

The devil doesn't flex. He doesn't need to.
He's just sitting on his throne like, "What? I'm the fucking devil, dude. I'll fry your ass."
And then he goes to Wafflehouse, and the waitress messes up his order. So then he's all like, "Lady, I'm the fucking devil. Bring me my damn iced tea before I whip out my pitchfork on your ass."
Then he doesn't tip well...Cause he's a jerk like that.

Most of mine are also band guitarists. Laiho, Sundin, Hendriksson, that sort of thing. Not always shredders, either. I've been on a serious Iron Maiden kick today.
