I've got 10-52's down a step right now. It's heaven, I was used to 11s in E. My hands used to hurt all the time and now it's just my fingertips getting used to playing again instead of "OMG UR DESTROYING UR HANDS LOLZ." This is good.

i use i think 10 d addario they last for a long time and i am a shredder so that is important to me

D'Addario, the shrink wrap protects them from the elements, so they're fresh, and while their "new string brightness" doesn't last very long, they sound good enough and last a good while.

I have one DR package in line for testing. Currently have one elixir .11 set and some .10 strings, brand I don't remember. Elixirs last a looong time but there is something unnatural about them... and they also cost a sh1tload of cash.

so...i just put on a new set of 12-54s with a wound 3rd tonight, and i only have 3 trem springs for my floyd. So, as of right now, I am being dos in C standard.

Im still using GIT x paks. Im a cheap fukker............ the 2 extra strings............... need em. I usually use boomers. have for 20 years. Honestly.... theyre mostly made at the same place. You do pay for the name.

For me, i hate when strings are too loose.. it makes me feel like i'm not in control. Also (the most important reason) the thicker your strings, the more metal you are. My C standard guitar is a hellraiser, you can't raise hell with pubes on your neck, er.... you get the idea
