forgot to post WHY, sorry For me, i hate when strings are too loose.. it makes me feel like i'm not in control. Also (the most important reason) the thicker your strings, the more metal you are. My C standard guitar is a hellraiser, you can't raise hell with pubes on your neck, er.... you get the idea true words ov wisdom were spoken here

D'Addario XLs, 10s mostly. They've given me the best tuning stability with my Floyd of the strings I've tried, and they last reasonably well. I've used Elixirs and they're nice and all, but at a show recently Tommy Emmanuel saw the Elixirs on my acoustic and said, "Get those pieces of shit off yer guitar!" I was so scarred I don't think I'll ever buy them again.

I just slapped on a set of EB 11-56 tuned down a whole step and I'm really liking it. Nice and tight, good thick tone. Handles drop D down a step, and drop B down a step pretty well. I'll see how they last compared to my Elixirs.

i need another guitar so i can slap some 11s or even 12s on my jackson and keep it either in C standard or Drop C and keep the other one in standard so i don't have to constantly change the tuning on the jackson :S

Damn i should settle on one string brand and intonate my fucking V properly. Today I started hearing it sound wayyy off on 12+ fret.

I had some 11.elixirs on my 2nd guitar, they lasted a loooong time but somewhy didn't feel as good as blue steel. For some reason I love blue steel, for their feel. Maybe im just crazy.

i used to use blue steels. then a guy i know that plays bass got me hooked on DRs. I just put some 10-46s on my jackson and tuned them to standard. i have a 10-52 set from them (like custom light but one gauge up) as well, and tomorrow they shall be administered to the V and put in D

I'm rocking 11-49 elixers in c tuning. They feel like butter.
