I want that 7, but with a trem, Torkin. It's my next goal, after getting a decent amp (my current guitar is already pretty badass).

i'm currently planning a way to progress into having a killer amp... i'm going for a rack setup, and i'm going to get a cab (Probably either Mesa or Marshall) and an old Peavy 60 60 poweramp and run my podxt into it as the preamp. then i'm going to sell my podxt and get a podxt pro, and again, use it as a preamp. then, for the coup de grace, an ENGL tube preamp. i can't wait to start this off

I was wondering for a while, and since you mentioned it, what exactly does sonic maximizer do? A lot of people have it and i dont even have a clue how it functions except that i know it yields better tone ;P

I was wondering for a while, and since you mentioned it, what exactly does sonic maximizer do? A lot of people have it and i dont even have a clue how it functions except that i know it yields better tone ;P BBE... gives your guitar sound (particularly "chugs") a whole lot more "punch", tightness and clarity... however also putting in some compression and high/low boost (which translates to scooping)... so it's something you want to use with care. It can make your guitar sound really sterile and solid state sounding... however, if you get it right, it can make your palm mutes even more brutal \m/ As to how it works: it progressively delays different bands in the signal in order to basically cause everything to come out of the speaker at once, compensating for the inherent property of a speaker to delay and spread out the high end (to some extent). Whole can of worms using one... a lot of people say you'll pick it up, fall in love with it, use it for a while... then realise your tone sucks. Hasn't happened for me, but then I don't turn it up too much...
