Schecters play really well, in my experience. You should sell your girlfriend for one.

yeah i like schecters. most of them are string through, just like the 7 string hellraiser JEFF LOOMIS was playing before his sig came out. case in point - www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-ESkM2e21Ithe only complaint if have of schecters is that they all have finished necks. my fave schecters i've played are the Damien (floyd rose) and the Synyster Custom (floyd) and the only thing wrong with either were finished necks. that's the same reason i don't like most ESPs like the Laiho signature. So, as long as it's not the diamond series schecters, go for it - i'd recommend the Hellraiser C1 FR

Finished necks suck... Natural is the way to go. BTW not all laiho sigs have painted necks. I think only his white one has... Sawtooth doesnt and i dont know about arrowhead. My one isnt a sig and it doesnt have painted neck. But you could possibly sand a neck if you fav guitar has it painted. A guitar being string thru is ok with me though, when I practice in long sessions that wrenchy stick hanging out of the guitar always bothers me. Most of the time I have it out on my practice axe.

well the one i played was the black one with yellow stripes on it (dos, by the way), and i liked it except for the next being finished.
oh well, like i said before, if you're lookin at schecter go for the C1 Hellraiser or a Synyster Custom (i like the Avenger body with the scorpion headstock - pickups are nice n hot too).

Hell, I'm going for a C-1 Hellraiser myself. Guitar shop near me with decent people running it (still a ripoff, but not so awful) just became a Schecter dealer. MIGHTY GUITAR YOU SHALL BE MINE BAHA.

I have to admit.....Im thinkin bout gettin 1 to. If I had an honest choice between the Hellraiser ahd the RGX420 bet ur ass Id get the Yamaha...no dealers close by though. Im a sucker for Baritones...well any long scale guitar really. Its odd 'cuz Im a smaller guy and they are harder to play but they sound absolutely badass.

heh. 5'2 actually. My hands arent that tiny but shorter arms is what makes playing the baritones difficult. Left wrist has to be seriously limber too...(if you play right handed).
I play more comfortably on a 24.5" scale but the 26.5 and 27s arent that hard now that im use to them. Like anything else with this evil instrument, takes practice (quality time).
