A lot of people of this forum seem to be getting new rigs soon. So how about we all post sound clips when we do? The only problem with that is the micing. Move that thing a small pinch and it is a different tone. Bad micing can make a great head sound like crap.

wow. doesn't sound too bad w/ the mix either. i'd like to here it in a thrash type setting as opposed to the whole Dillinger Escape Plan/TonyDanzaTapdanceExtravganza style thing...all i ever hear with most of that style is cymbals and screaming :S (except for these guys...nice mix)

yeah, the 5150 always wins it for me. I want to get my hands on one or a Bogner

yeah 5150 is probably the head i'm wanting to go for should the whole rack deal not come together. a friend of mine has one, and when you run it through a marshall cab with a BBE Sonic maximizer, it's br00tal indeed.

When I get the final mixes done, I'll post something a bit heavier with the 5150.

The JSX feels weird to me, when I've played it. The noise gate in particular seems to do nothing.

It was sounding pretty heavy yesterday evening when we fired it up. Can't wait to see how it works in actual context. The gate seems to not be very sensitive. I can definitely see a difference but I had to get her up to like 7 or 8 before I noticed anything.
