the other guitar player in my band said that him and the studio tech tried recording a Vetta head and miked it, and you could hear the digital gayness of it.

On the other hand, Obzen (Meshuggah) was recorded with Vetta IIs direct.
Therefore digital stuff can sound fucking good.

Bah, you can use guitar rig to get an awesome tone, but you have to tweak ALOT !!
and anyway you won't be able to get that tone when you practice/play
you're better with an amp that sounds nice "as it" than to need a magician tech to make it sound good ;p

Joey Sturgis (foundation studios) gets really awesome tones w/ the Pod. About the only engineer that I know off hand who makes it work. Pretty much everyone else I know that does great sounding records hates the thing.
I've got the old pod pro v 1. I'll see what I can slap together. I know the technology has evolved quite a bit. I'd like to play w/ the pod 3 and see what it can do.

I'm just curious, Joel. If you don't have the time, don't bother. I just want to be able to compare the shit side-by-side (which I eventually will. BUGERA U WILL B MIEN)

I haven't played that model but if it sounds good and the price is good i'd say get it anyways. I've played a few H&K's and they are god's favorite brand since they rule asses.
